By accessing and using our website, you agree to the following terms:

1. Product Information
We do our best to ensure all product details, descriptions, and prices are accurate. However, errors may occur, and we reserve the right to correct them at any time.

2. Availability
All products are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable after your order is placed, we will notify you and issue a full refund.

3. Order Acceptance
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including for reasons such as suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or inventory issues.

4. Use of Website
You agree not to misuse our website, commit fraud, or infringe on intellectual property rights. All content is the property of [Your Business Name].

5. Pricing and Payments
Prices are in Rands and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment must be received before goods are dispatched.

6. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. By continuing to use the site, you agree to the current version.

7. Discount Policy
The 10% for signup discount is automatically applied at checkout. This discount cannot be combined with any other promotions or offers. The discount is valid only on full-priced items.

7. Parallel Imports and Brand Affiliation
We import selected international goods, including IKEA-branded items, through parallel importing. While we are not officially affiliated with IKEA, we are passionate admirers of their products. All our IKEA items are 100% genuine, purchased at regular retail prices from official IKEA stores overseas.
As these are parallel imports, Inter IKEA Systems B.V. does not provide any warranty or support for these products.
We take full responsibility for the sourcing, importation, and distribution of these goods within South Africa, where IKEA does not currently operate.

8. Procurement / Pre-Order Service

All our parallel-imported IKEA products are sourced directly from official IKEA stores overseas. If we don’t have an item in stock, you can order it through our Procurement / Pre-Order Service with no minimum order value. Your order will arrive with our next shipment.

How It Works

Step 1 – Request a Quote

Browse products on the IKEA Netherlands website.

Email jax@modularliving.co.za with:

  • Your contact details & delivery address
  • IKEA item code (e.g., 290.672.93)
  • Product name, colour, and quantity

We’ll send you a quotation within 24–72 hours.

Step 2 – Confirm Your Order

  • Confirm before the deadline date above.
  • Pay a 50% deposit and send proof of payment to secure your order.
  • Once our shipment is en route, we’ll keep you updated on its progress.

Step 3 – Collect or Receive Your Items

  • When our shipment arrives at our Bedfordview warehouse, we’ll notify you.
  • Pay the remaining 50% balance before collection or dispatch.

Important FAQs

  • Why are prices different from IKEA?
    We purchase at standard IKEA retail prices (no wholesale rates are available) and add shipping, insurance, customs duties, VAT, packing, and bank charges, plus a small margin for operational costs.

How long will it take?
From the order deadline date, delivery takes around 7–10 weeks:

  • 2–2.5 weeks for purchasing & packing at IKEA Netherlands
  • ±6 weeks for shipping, customs clearance, and transport to Bedfordview

Possible Delays
Weather, port congestion, customs inspections, or supply shortages at IKEA may cause delays. We’ll keep you updated if this happens.

Courier Costs in South Africa

  • Orders over R2,800 to major cities: courier included
  • Smaller orders or outlying areas: additional courier charges apply

Stock Availability
If IKEA Netherlands is out of stock for your chosen product, we’ll refund your deposit within 3 working days.

Exchange Rate Fluctuations
If the Rand/Euro exchange rate changes significantly before you confirm your order, we may send an updated quotation for approval.
